Chicago is a city known for its vibrant culture, diverse neighborhoods, and strong sense of community. However, not all communities in Chicago have equal access to resources and opportunities. That's where VietFive has thoughtfully and intentionally stepped in to make a difference since its founding in 2021.
VietFive is committed to supporting under resourced communities in the South and Westside of Chicago through various initiatives, including employment opportunities, donations, and school drives.
How does VietFive support under resourced communities?
VietFive understands the importance of economic empowerment and believes in providing employment opportunities to individuals in under resourced communities. By hiring locally, VietFive not only creates job opportunities but also fosters a sense of pride and ownership within these communities. Through our commitment to fair wages and a supportive work environment, VietFive empowers individuals to improve their quality of life and contribute to the growth of our community. To date, we have 20+ direct hires from under-resourced communities within Chicago and placed 100+ in employment through our corporate community network.
Donations that make a difference
In addition to providing employment opportunities, VietFive is dedicated to making a positive impact through donations. We actively seek out partnerships with organizations and initiatives that align with our mission of uplifting under resourced communities (Chicago PEACE, True Chicago, Blackhawks Foundation, SocialWorks, The Hatchery and many more). Whether it's donating to local food banks, supporting educational programs, or contributing to community development projects, VietFive ensures that our resources are directed towards initiatives that create lasting change. To date, VietFive has raised $150,000+ for non-profit organizations serving our community!
Supporting education through school drives
VietFive recognizes the importance of education in breaking the cycle of poverty. To support students in under resourced communities, VietFive organizes school drives to provide essential supplies and resources. From backpacks filled with school supplies to books and educational materials, these school drives help ensure that every student has the tools they need to succeed academically. To date, VietFive has served 1,000+ at-risk students, help various annual school supply drive, and held an Innovation lab in Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood.
